Reporting Deadlines for Emergency Transport Volume

 

First Quarter 2018 data – due May 15, 2018
Second Quarter 2018 data – due August 14, 2018
Third Quarter 2018 data – due November 14, 2018
Fourth Quarter 2018 data – due February 15, 2019

 

 

Reporting Deadline for Annual Gross Receipts from Emergency Transports

 

For July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018 – due August 14, 2018
For July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019 – due August 14, 2019

 

 

Calculation of Annual Quality Assurance Fee Rate by DHCS

 

Tax Rate to be paid for 2016/17 transports– published by June 15, 2018
Tax Rate to be paid for 2017/18 transports– published by June 15, 2019

 

 

Fee/Tax Deadline

 

Tax due July 1, 2018 – for transports for 2016-2017 fiscal year; where provider conducted 35,000 or more Medi-Cal fee-for-service transports

50% or less of tax due August 1, 2018 – for transports for 2016-2017 fiscal year; where provider conducted less than 35,000 Medi-Cal fee-for-service transports

Remaining unpaid amount of tax due August 15, 2018 – for transports for 2016-2017 fiscal year; where provider conducted less than 35,000 Medi-Cal fee-for-service transports

Tax due October 1, 2018 – for transports conducted during Third Quarter 2017
Tax due January 1, 2019 – for transports conducted during Fourth Quarter 2017
Tax due April 1, 2019 – for transports conducted during First Quarter 2018
Tax due July 1, 2019 – for transports conducted during Second Quarter 2018

The dates (July 1, Aug 1/Aug 15) for payment of the fee/tax for the Fiscal Year 2016/2017 transports has been pushed back by DHCS.  Please see the details on their website at:  http://www.dhcs.ca.gov/provgovpart/Pages/GEMTQAF.aspx

At some future date, these payments will be due, in full.  But for now, DHCS is not collecting the fee/tax from ambulance companies.  My best guess is that these will become due in the September to November time frame.
